Norfolk Centre

New to Rallying?

What is a Rally?

The Norfolk Centre would be pleased to welcome you to any of the rallies listed on this website and in the Rally Programme Book. Our rallies are simply a gathering of Caravan Club members, for a weekend or holiday, to promote friendship and common interests, in a light-hearted manner and having some fun along the way.

Who organises them?

Rallies are organised by Rally Marshals who are ordinary Centre members who have volunteered their time to run Rallies for the Centre. Their duties include arranging the site and services, signing the approach to the rally field and arranging any programme of entertainment, which may include social evenings, local events, competitions and sports activities, or perhaps a trip;  All of which you may join in, or of course, you are free to do your own thing.

How do I book?

It couldn’t be easier, simply complete a booking slip by printing one off from this site, or use one of the slips included with your Rally Programme Book, then post it to the Rally Marshals for your chosen Rally before the stipulated slip return date.   Please note for security reasons no addresses are given for Rally Marshals on this website.

How do I find my way to the Rally Field?

Follow the directions given in the rally book or from this website, and when you are near to the site you will see our direction signs which are YELLOW with CCNC RALLY in black lettering on them. As you enter the site you will see the Rally Marshal’s caravan, which is usually the first in the field and will have a Rally Marshal sign beside it.

What happens when I arrive?

Stop beside the Rally Marshal’s caravan, introduce yourselves and advise them if it is your first rally. The Marshal will give you an envelope containing information of the programme for the rally, any competitions, tickets for socials or events that may have been arranged, your first rally plaque showing that you attended the rally, and printed on the front of the envelope, the cost of the rally. You will then be shown to your pitch, normally marked with a peg.  You will be advised where to find the drinking water tap and the elsan disposal point, both should be signed.

As soon as possible, the Chairman for the Rally will call on you and welcome you to our Centre and to your first rally. He/she will also tell you about the flagpole meeting which normally takes place towards the end of the rally, and is where we have a get-together, introduce our first ralliers and our visitors, thank our marshals, hold a raffle, give out details of future events and results of any competitions.
