Norfolk Centre Committee Update
Your Committee met on the evening of Thursday 27th August, via a video conference link, to discuss the latest updates from the Caravan & Motorhome Club HQ with regards to what procedures we need to put in place to get rallies back up and running again.
The Club has produced guidelines to help us to conduct risk assessments for each rally and what specifically needs to be put in place to minimise the risks for both the Marshals and the Members from the spread of Covid-19; the Centre is investing in sanitising equipment and signage as part of this. Ian Lindsay, our Rally Secretary, will be in touch with Marshals for forthcoming rallies with details.
The Club has decided that cash payments for rallies must now cease, so your Committee has agreed to invest in contactless card payment technology to enable Marshals to take payments for rallies, the system we have chosen will also enable Marshals to take payments before the rally as well as on arrival using contactless credit and debit cards and Apple Pay; whilst cheques can still be accepted as an alternative, the preference is for non-contact payments to keep everyone safe.
The AGM is coming up and the Committee is looking at how we can run an effective meeting online as we won’t be able to hold a full meeting this year; more details to follow. Also, the Committee is looking for Members who are interested in helping to run the Centre as it is time for nominations for the Committee as all positions will become vacant; we are particularly in need of a Centre Secretary and a Chairman, as Andy has now served his 3 years, so please give this some thought as the Centre will not be able to function unless these positions are filled.
Keep an eye on the Website and Facebook pages for all Centre updates and please stay safe
